The Product Stewardship Institute (PSI) and New York product Stewardship Council (NYPSC) released a free Drug Take-Back Toolkit for Medical Professionals. Doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals nationwide will use these materials to educate their peers and their patients about safe drug disposal. The toolkit includes:
- Poster –11 x 17 in. — How to safely dispose of unused medications, and quick facts about why.
- Patient Brochure — 8.5 x 11 in. — Why and how to safely dispose of unused medications.
- Medical Professionals Brochure — 8.5 x 11 in. — How to talk to patients about their leftover meds.
- Sample language that medical professionals can include in their patient-facing newsletters, website, or Patient Portal
