Tom Planert, P.E. has been a contractor specializing in chemical grouting for 38 years, primarily in the subway systems. However he has worked in hospitals, nuclear plants, etc. He currently has had an engineering firm that specializes in remedial waterproofing, as well as concrete repairs, including slab lifting and soil stabilization with settled concrete. He is a recognized expert in the field of chemical grouting

In this webinar, we will discuss new technologies that have been used during the past 15 years to control water leaks/porosity in cracked or porous concrete or brick structures, including considerations with materials, equipment and methods for achieving results. This webinar topic applies to engineers and architects and will review benefits and considerations for chemical grouting.

Learning objectives:
1. Learn the scientific reasons as to why chemical grouting can be guaranteed.
2. Learn limitations of this technology, where it should not be used, concerning injection pressures, for example.
3. Basic differences in various chemical grouts are explained in generic terms.
4. Different types of equipment and methods that are used with chemical grouting are explained.
