Continuing Education Units

Chapters who wish to have CEUs for their educational events, must complete the NEHES ASHE CEU Approval Request Form below. All requests must be approved by ASHE in advance of the presentation.

The completed form should be submitted to NEHES two weeks prior to the chapter education program. The NEHES Administrative Director’s Office will contact the applicant when the CEUs are approved.

Scholarships

Thinking about advancing your education? NEHES is pleased to offer scholarships to Active Members who are pursuing a degree or ASHE-sponsored education. Scholarships shall be awarded on a rolling basis until all funds have been allocated. The maximum that may be awarded for an active member scholarship is $5,000.

Advanced Education in Healthcare Engineering
Here are a few programs offering degrees in engineering or facilities management.
  • Indiana University-Purdue University– Offers an M.S. in Technology-Facilities Management online graduate program.
  • Massachusetts Maritime Academy offers a B.S. degree in Facilities Engineering and an M.S. in Facilities Management.
  • North Carolina State University– Offers a Facilities Engineering Management Diploma. Participants must complete three, one-week courses totaling 96 contact hours.
  • Owensboro Community and Technical College—Offering an Associate Degree specific to Healthcare Facilities Leadership.The program is available entirely online and in-state tuition is charged regardless of where the student resides.
  • Wentworth Institute of Technology– Offers an online and on campus M.S. in Facility Management.



Internships

If you are thinking of advancing your education, NEHES can help cover the cost and has scholarships available. NEHES’s Intern Scholarship is awarded to an intern working for an Active Member’s institution.

Deadline: Anytime between January 1 – April 15, 2018



Intern Scholarships shall be awarded on a rolling basis until all funds have been allocated. The maximum that may be awarded for an intern scholarship is $5,000.
